Population Structure and Economic Implications of Kenya and China   In this piece of text I will be analysing and comparing the population   structure and economic implications of two countries.  The two   countries that I have chosen are Kenya and China.  China is a mixture   of an LEDC and an MEDC whilst Kenya is a LEDC.  You will be able to   notice the difference when I give the facts and details of both   countries.  Population structure is such things as death rate and also   birth rate and population spreads.  It also shows the amount of people   that are a certain age.  The pyramid can also show the different   trends and patterns of the age groups.  Economic implications are the   work force of the country and the industries in the countries.   Country Status   ==============   China is a mixed between and LEDC and MEDC as said earlier, this is   because the countries has a mixture of areas where some people are not   as fortunate as others. The population of this country is around 1.3   billion.

Acupuncture is considered to be a new alternative medicine in western society, and has recently become very popular in the United States (“All About Acupuncture”). Acupuncture is the insertion of hair-fine needles into the body’s surface, which is supposed to cause psychological effects on the body to cure the patient of an illness. These illnesses may be emotional mental or physical (Singer). But some doctors question the validity of this practice, and believe that acupuncture may be unsafe (Barrett).     The first basis of acupuncture was probably first theorized by Shen Nung about 5000 years ago in a document called “Huang Di Nei Jing” (Singer). Shen Nung believed that there is an energy force running through the entire body called “Qi” (pronounced chee). Qi travels through the body in “meridians” or channels. These meridians run vertically up and down the body’s surface (Singer). The Qi is supposed to be the mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical aspects of life.

Liquid Sunshine-Beneficial Fad or Human Carcinogen - Research Paper ExampleInvestigations soon found the ill effects of long-term exposure to radium. The use of radium as therapeutic agent was discontinued, but the victims of this metal died painful deaths. In 1900s, radium became a treatment option for many illnesses of the day. However, its popularity as a promoter of health soon declined. This paper aims at recounting the rise and fall of radium as a therapeutic agent.Radium (atomic number 88) is a radioactive alkaline earth metal, belonging to the same group as calcium and barium (Radium, 2009). Its radioactive nature makes radium a luminescent metal that glows in the dark. Radium is a decay product of radioactive uranium 238. Nobel laureates Pierre and Marie Curie discovered this metal in 1898. Marie Curie received her second Nobel Price for Chemistry in 1911 for her work on radium and polonium (Pasachoff, 1996).Pierre Curie was the first scientist to advocate the medical uses of radium.

Chapter 3RESEARCH METHODOLOGY3.0 IntroductionIn this chapter, research worker will explicate in item on how the research will be conducted. This includes the research design chosen by the research worker, the research processs, sample choice, methods of garnering informations, and methods of informations analysis used. In explicating the methods and processs employed, the research worker besides explains the principle for taking the peculiar methods and processs conducted in this research.3.1 Research DesignPatton ( 1990 ) in Fraenkel and Wallen ( 2006 ) described one of the major features of qualitative research is design flexibleness where they suggested that a qualitative research should avoid from stick on a stiff designs or state of affairs so that the state of affairs can be understood in-depth. They besides recommended a qualitative research should prosecute new waies of find that suits with the research worker involvement. From his ain reading and sentiment, the research worker would wish to specify qualitative research as a type of scientific research.

Compounds - Assignment ExampleThe shampoo is used for pets and is not used for human needs. The shampoo is used to groom mainly dogs and horses and they are rendered fatal if consumed. This is due to the high iodine content which can cause iodine poisoning when consumed. Another iodine product that is commonly used is Kent Marine Concentrated Iodine used in aquariums.Iodine occurs naturally in plants and in some animals and animal products. Iodine easily attaches to organic compounds and this explains why the main sources include animals and plants. Many plants contain iodine as it occurs naturally on earth and when plants are growing, they absorb it from the soil. Iodine is more concentrated in water bodies as compared to the dry earth (ACP, 1996). For this reason, seaweeds are considered to be the richest in iodine concentration compared to other plants. Examples of such seaweeds include Nori, Hijiki, Dulse, sea lettuce, Kombu, and Wakame and they are all edible. Animals and animal products also contain natural iodine.

Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cells - Essay ExampleAlthough there are 6 challenges facing fuel cells, nations led by the U.S and Japan have taken the lead in developing hydrogen and fuel cells as their premier energy choice of the future. Global demand for energy is increasing at a frightening pace. World Energy Technology & Climate Policy Outlook {WETO} estimates that it will grow at an annual rate of 1.8% for the next two decades. The demand is presently being satisfied mainly by fossil fuels that are not only expensive and release greenhouse gases and other pollutants into the atmosphere but are also fast depleting (European Commission, 2003, page 9, para.1). In contrast, the hydrogen energy and fuel cell system ensures energy safety and regular supply, it is economically competitive and it does not pollute the air, but in fact reduces greenhouse gases; the recognition of these benefits is apparent as countries like the U.S and Japan, are laying the platform to ensure that it features heavily in the coming future.
